Error: Invalid SCA
When connecting an external Institution to Exirio, you may occasionally encounter an error message stating "INVALID_SCA". This is a common issue that can be easily resolved.
What does this error mean?
The "INVALID_SCA" error typically indicates that the second factor authentication has failed. This second factor takes different forms depending on the Institution: QR code, SMS, app notification, OTP...
How to resolve this error
- Double-check your second factor
- Verify that you're using the correct second factor for your Institution's account.
- Ensure that you have performed the required action in a timely manner. Second factors expire after a few minutes.
- Verify your login details
- Try logging into your Institution's website directly using the same authentication method.
- If you can't log in there either, you may need to reset your login method with your Institution.
- Check for recent changes
- Have you recently changed your account configuration with the Institution?
- Has your Institution implemented any new security measures?
